Irishman Acres Clover Barn Wedding // Preston + Brittany 6.2.18
I think I might say this every single blog post, but I seriously LOVE this couple! I met Preston and Brittany last May while photographing another wedding, and I remember thinking their little family was just the sweetest as I offered to take a picture for them at the reception. When Brittany reached out about me taking wedding pictures for her and Preston, I could not have been more thrilled! I love working with people who are special to other people who are special to me (did you track that?! haha). You see, my clients are SO special to me, and my favorite thing is seeing connections play out. Turns out, Preston's little sister and I actually played basketball together at the same high school, and their wedding venue is the new venue in my hometown! I loved getting to know Preston and Brittany this past year-- the love they have for their son, Eli, and the rest of their family is SO plain to see. Their engagement session was at his family's farm-- you can see those here-- which I really think pointed to how special these people are to Preston and Brittany. Throughout their day, one of my favorite things was seeing their closest friend's and family's emotion and excitement.
Brittany and her girls started getting ready in the bridal suite at Irishman Acres' Clover Barn while the guys slept in after a crazy night (to be expected, right?!). After getting hair and makeup done, we sent the girls out of the room so Brittany's sweet mom could help Brittany into her dress. Brittany was absolutely stunning, and it was obvious she had thought through even the tiny details. She wore her grandmother's ring on her right hand, and there were pendant pictures attached to her bouquet-- those they loved who had passed still were part of Preston and Brittany's day. Once dressed, Brittany walked out for her girls to see her and share tears. After a first look with her groom, we took pictures of the bridal party-- Preston and Brittany each had 7 of their closest friends standing by their side. From the sweet ceremony, to the crazy reception entrance and emotional toasts, to moments shared with Grandma and teary-eyed first dances, everything about their day was absolutely perfect.
It was an honor to be part of their day! Shoutout to the AMAZING Sophie for all your hard work and beautiful photos! <3
